ABOUT THE DESIGNER

The collaboration between Arne Jacobsen and Fritz

Hansen dates back to 1934. It was not until 1952 however

that the team got its breakthrough with the Ant™. It was

succeeded by Series 7™ in 1955, thereby enabling both

Jacobsen and Fritz Hansen to write their names into

furniture history.

MATERIAL

Shell: The shell is made in plastic and comes in a

selection of colours as well as with upholstery in

textile or leather. The shell is made of ABS plastic with

nylon as reinforcement inside. The upholstered chair

is upholstered with cold cured foam and covered with

textile or leather.

Base: The base for 3110 is made of 14 mm steel tubes

with 4 legs and leg ferrules of black synthetic material.

The base is mounted to the shell with joint filler.

The bases are available in chromed steel or power coated

steel in 4 colours.

On upholstered chairs, the chrome base has a chromed

steel glide made in one piece with the legs. Underneath

rubber glides are mounted.
