Cabin in Leningrad
St Petersburg, Russia
the Architects
Description:
The Cabin in Leningrad is a tiny, barn-style dwelling designed by Russian designer and architect Aleksey Uljanochkin. Located in the rural Leningrad province of Russia, the project explores modern, minimalistic living within a compact, year-round cabin.
The cabin measures 45 square meters (484 square feet) and includes an additional 18 square meters (200 square feet) of terrace space. The design features a modern, clean aesthetic, utilizing monochromatic black and natural wood materials. This helps the cabin blend into its rural surroundings. The interior is designed to be cozy yet contemporary. A simple palette of black, natural woods, and textured materials creates a modern vibe that does not compete with the natural environment. The living room features panoramic windows on both sides, allowing for ample natural light and extensive views of the landscape.
The cabin's floor plan includes a small kitchen and a dining table adjacent to the living room. It also has a bedroom and a bathroom. An additional sleeping area is located in the attic and can accommodate guests with a folding sofa.
The project is a proposed design, with the available information based on renderings created in 2020.
